    Hurricane Fay?

So scattered somewhere between Michael Phelps winning gold and Michael Phelps setting new world records there has been a tropical storm brewing out in the Caribbean Sea. Brad found out about this a few days ago and overnight morphed into a full fledged hurricanologist. Being a Tennessee boy he has never experienced the thrill of anticipating a big storm here in Florida before. Since finding out about Tropical Storm Fay he has been tracking her every 15 minutes it seems just to see where the projected path is and just how strong they think the winds could be when they reach our area. He got extra excited when he heard that she could reach category 1 strength winds by landfall. He has even taken to leaving me voicemails to update me on the storm's progress. Thanks babe, glad to know you're on top of things. Apparently the real meteorologists are anticipating Miss Fay's arrival in the Jacksonville area sometime on Wednesday... this is the storm's current projections:

...and here is where I'm pretty sure Brad will be until Friday afternoon when Fay checks out of Casa de Florida:

Good thinking babe with the bike helmet... we wouldn't want anything happening to that cute little noggin of yours.

You know you're a Floridian if you hear there is a hurricane coming and its anything less than a category 3 you really don't alter your plans. My FL peeps understand. Brad will be busy buying out all of the bottled water and canned goods at Publix this week, so if you get a hankering for some canned green beans or tuna, stop on by, I'm sure we will have plenty to go around.

You are so right on being a Floridian. You should see the people up here in GA - tell them that there is the possibility for some ice/scattered snow and all hell breaks loose. I might even venture to say that it's WORSE than the preparations for a hurricane. It's downright impossible to even find a spot in the Publix parking lot!

Being a Tennessean myself I fully concur with Brad's prep...I'm really bummed I'm going to miss all the Hurricane fun this week! We could of had a Hurrican party (obviously in your tub) with some real yummy fruity Hurricane's and canned food...too bad! Just make sure my dog doesn't float away if it hits in the afternoon! :)

hahaha... Kelly I totally understand. People in Nashville were pretty much the same way when the threat of snow was upon us. One time school even got canceled for heavy rain. I recall walking through inches of water to get from class to class down here. Apparently we are more water proof?

Hey Baxters and Heather!!! The Arrested Development series is vital to Brad's survival. If he had a Segway it would have been in the tub too. I'm pretty sure he wants to be Gob when he grows up.

Cory you and Bobby are welcome here any time... hope you like green bean casserole! ;)

Hey Brittany... I miss you too girl. We need to get together soon for a play date! :)

Jess - I couldn't have said it better myself.

LOL... that made my day today....thanks...Those facial expressions are priceless.....

Too bad he doesn't have a can opener....because it's gonna be really hard to open those cans with his teeth...

dood, where's your life preserver? I think the bathtub is the last place I want to be when this place floods. I'm packing tonight and heading for the hills...wait...there are no hills in FL?

You guys are so fun! Love the pics...hysterical!

Erin... don't worry I'll be sure to save Jackson. I kinda like the little guy. ;)

Mel... we tried to save Lucy, but sadly she has this fear of the bath tub... not sure why something about hating baths I think. I hope she can swim... cuz Fay likes to produce floods it seems.

So it seems Brad is missing a few other vital pieces to his survival... can opener, life preserver, Lucy, ME!!! Eh well... you can't really blame him. He is a newbie at the whole hurricane preparedness thing.
