Lindsey & Mike's Engagement Session - Savannah, GA

The day after Halloween, Brad and I headed up to Savannah to shoot Lindsey & Mike's engagement session. We had an incredible time trekking around the streets and back allies of Savannah with these two. Lindsey and Mike were so much fun to photograph. You can see how much Mike adores Lindsey and easily how much she loves him back. They made our jobs so easy and we had way more fun than we probably should have. We ended the night with a fantastic dinner at Tubby's Restaurant overlooking the Savannah Shrimp Festival. Here are some of my favorite shots from the day followed by a slideshow with even more goodies inside. We hope you all enjoy these. Lindsey and Mike, thank you so much for entertaining us while we were in Savannah. We can't wait to go back and do some more exploring.

    UF Tradition Keepers

Brad recently brought it to my attention that I never blogged about our bus photo. This blog is way over due considering the picture has been riding around Gainesville on one of the University of Florida buses for nearly a year now. I shot these photos for my sister back when she graduated from UF in May of 2007. The Student Alumni Association saw them and wanted to use them in their advertisement for their Tradition Keepers program. It was such an honor to have them select our photo to represent their program. I was even more excited that the picture would be plastered on the side of a bus! Here are a few snapshots we got of the ad.

We are so excited to be the photographers for the UF ring ceremony in early December. We can't wait to have a little photo booth fun with all the students as well as Albert and Alberta, the UF mascots.

    Halloween with the Watsons

My absolute favorite holiday has to be Halloween. I just love how you can enter into a whole world of make believe for one day. I've always loved playing dress up and becoming someone other than myself so its no wonder this holiday appeals to me so much. Almost every year since Brad and I have been together we have thrown Halloween parties. This year was no exception. We had a small group of friends over on Halloween night and it resulted in absurd amounts of FUN! I usually try to be extra creative with the costumes, but this year I think I had Twilight on my brain because the only thing I could manage to think of was a vampire. So I went with it... although the vampire teeth gave me a pretty mean lisp. Brad on the other hand managed to find a costume that looked shockingly similar to Achmed the Dead Terrorist. So for that night, and apparently many many more since, Brad morphed into Achmed the Dead Terrorist. I must say he was the life of the party Halloween night. He stayed in character pretty much the whole time. It was hilarious.

Here are some pictures of the Watson Halloween Extravaganza! I was amazed that I didn't set anything on fire. I tried to make it so candle light was the only available light in the house. Fortunately no one became a human torch. Although Andrew did have a traumatic wax incident from blowing a candle out with too much force. Poor guy. On with the photos:

We gave away prizes for the best costume and oddly enough James, who came as a ceiling fan, won. James had warned me that the only costumes he ever wore were: a Korean guy, an electrical engineer, or a Korean electrical engineer. I told him if he came as any one of those he would be forced to wear a much less comfortable and less flattering substitute of my choosing. Leave it to James to find a costume loop hole. Bobbie on the other hand came as a table lamp and even lit up. Now that was creative!

    And completely in character...

Bobby even had his very own "list"

Kari and Andrew as a cello and cellist... pretty inventive I must say. When Kari told me she was coming as a cello I was wondering how she was going to pull it off. She did it perfectly and was even able to sit in her costume.

Jackson and Lucy as Ariel the Little Mermaid and Sebastian

Lucy was terrified of Brad and tried hiding on the porch all night under the chairs (notice the tail tucked between her legs as we force her out of hiding for a photo op... she wasn't having it)

as the night wore on Jackson looked more and more like he was being strangled by a lobster than anything else. It was hilarious. Here he is looking pretty cute.

**Best part... although no photo... Jackson got a hold of Lucy's costume and drug her around by her mermaid tail. I think I almost peed my pants from laughing so hard.**
