    Ski Teaser

So last Saturday Brad and I went out to the lake with our friend Bobby to shoot him and his ski team doing some practice runs. It was such a cool experience. One of the guys brought out a huge crane that took us 60 feet in the air and out over the water to get some amazing shots. Unfortunately I am just now getting a chance to work on these photos. Most of you know of our software drama from the last couple weeks that has set me back more than I'd like to even think about right now. I'm feeling good now that everything is back to normal... getting work done and catching up to speed. Heck this is blog #2 for the day... I'm down right productive! :D Anyhow... here is a little teaser of what's to come later. I wish I could post them all now... but I should probably get to packing our gear up for the weekend. Lots of good stuff to come! Enjoy the weekend everyone! :)

    5k Hooray!

So yesterday Brad and I ran the CitiStreet Corporate Run. There was a whole team from his office that was involved. It was the first race of this kind either of us had done since moving to Jacksonville. We had a lot of fun and our friend Bobby set a goal for himself to finish in under 21 minutes... well he finished at 19 minutes and 40 seconds. Home slice is hardcore! I can only imagine what damage he would have done had he actually been training. The only thing that I didn't like about the race was there was no Champion Chip timing. We had to keep our own time and report it on the honor system. At the end it was such a huge cluster of chaos that most of us didn't bother reporting our times. We didn't... we knew we weren't top in our categories, so why bother standing in the mass of sweaty-stinky-body-odor-nastiness that was congregating in the reporting line?!

Unfortunately we didn't take a single picture while we were there. I did see a guy running while carrying his 5D... he was extreme I tell ya. He would run up past me... stop... shoot some pictures of the runners coming at him.... then take off running again. He repeated this multiple times during the race. It was pretty funny... because we kept pace with each other I kept trying to run out of his frame so as not to capture the hot mess I was. Maybe next time I will be tuff enough to run with my camera and shoot the action as it happens!

Its been a busy busy week. We are off to Gainesville for the weekend for several portrait sessions! Woo hoo!! Brad has never been to Gator country. I wonder how his Vol strength will hold up?

    Supermodel Video Hour with Ashley

Okay so its not really a video nor is it really an hour but I just really really like that part of the movie Superstar. Anyhow... last weekend we did a modeling shoot with Ashley. She is a young model here in Jacksonville who contacted us to update her portfolio. We had tons of fun on this shoot and brought our friend and fellow photographer Star Bradshaw along for the ride. We had Ashley traipsing up some huge dirt mounds in her cute little heels just to get these photos and Brad stepped in not one but TWO fire ant beds. Fire ants do not exist in Tennessee so it was a shock to him to step in what he thought was a pile of dirt and get eaten alive by ferocious micro beasts. It seems on every shoot Brad learns a little more about the dangers of Florida. During Jen & Chase's engagement session he became acquainted with sand spurs. Mmm don't you just love it!

Okay on to the photos. Oh wait... we are implementing our new logo on the blog photos now. So let me know what you think of it. Back to the foxy Ashley B!

    Julie's Bridal Shower

My little brother is getting married in less than a month!!! Yes even though he is 6'4" he is still my little brother. Last week we had a bridal shower for his beautiful bride-to-be Julie. She is such a great girl and I'm unbelievably happy that Adam has chosen such a wonderful woman to call his wife. We all grew up only one street apart but Adam and Julie never dated until he graduated from college. The two of them even had the same truck as their first vehicles. She drove a red Dodge Ram pick up and he drove a Silver one. How cute is that?! They will be getting married May 10th in Sarasota, FL at Laurel Oaks Country Club and I can't wait!

At the shower I was too busy having fun and enjoying everyone's company to take many pictures but here are a couple.

I designed some custom invitations for the shower... there is a photo on the back too but my Aunt probably wouldn't like the entire world to know her address so you only get to see the front.

Here are a couple from their impromptu engagement session we had on Christmas Day down in New Smyrna (the day after they became engaged.)

Adam has the most infectious laugh ever... seriously I laugh til I cry when I'm with him.

There was an awesome group of ladies at the shower... we had so much fun. Even a huge thunderstorm didn't stop the festivities!

Julie sporting the "Bride" baseball cap she got, bachelorette sash, and the most amazing ribbon bouquet ever made!!! (Shameless pat on the back: I made it... the photos do not even do it justice... I may go into bow bouquet making one day... I'm not even kidding!)

And these are some ribbons I shot for commercial use for Swoozies.com that I thought were fun so I just threw them in with all the other ribbon photos in this blog.

    Rachel & Chad Got Married!

Saturday March 28th, Rachel and Chad had an amazing wedding at Orlando's beautiful Cypress Grove Park. We just love this couple. They are so completely in love and perfect for each other, its hard not to love them. Here are a few of our favorites from the day.

    Photobucket

This 1952 Buick Eighty Eight belonged to Rachel's late father... it was such a cool car... we couldn't help but take lots of pictures of it! :)

Rachel wore these skyscraper stillettos the whole wedding so that she wouldn't have to alter her gorgeous dress... that girl has skills!

    Photobucket

    Photobucket

The Gator Garter... Brad was apparently allergic to it so I took the garter photos! ;)

Haydon's pants were a bit too short...

Rachel's grandmother was able to let them out so he didn't have to pull a Steve Urkle all day. Unfortunately it left him pant less for a while.

Rachel with her future father-in-law, Raddy, who could quite possibly be one of the sweetest men on the planet.

Chad looking all dapper while getting ready

This little muscle man was trying to get in on some of our group photos...

The groomsmen's photos took a terrible turn for the R rated at some point... but you know we thought it was awesome!

Rachel looked absolutely stunning in her mermaid style Maggie Sottero gown.

This is what happens when you pull the corset strings a bit too tight... beauty is pain girls!

Rachel's vintage ring that belonged to Chad's grandmother... it definitely fit the vintage vibe of the wedding.

Rachel and Chad, we hope you two had an amazing honeymoon in Tahiti. We wish we could have stowed away in your baggage and gone with you. You guys are absolutely perfect for each other and your happiness is felt by everyone around you. Lots of love to you both! :)
