Brad and I are heading to Nashville for a few days for a little bit of work, a little bit of fun and hopefully a lot of beautiful Fall weather! This time we are bringing our friends Bobby & Erin with us to celebrate Erin's birthday in our favorite city. As most of you already know, Brad is from the Nashville area and I lived there for four years before moving back to Florida. We absolutely love it up there and go back every chance we get. You really can't beat Tennessee in the Fall! We will be gone the 23rd through the 27th so if you need to reach us please email us at info@ladolcevitastudio.com and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

Image X - Live from New Orleans

Last week I was in New Orleans for 5 days to attend the Image X workshop. I had such an amazing time and met some of the kindest, most talented photographers in the industry. I spent my first day learning from and shooting along side Jessica Claire. I met her once before in Tampa last January while attending the DWF convention. I was so impressed by her down to earth attitude that I couldn't wait to spend more time with her while in New Orleans. My second day was filled with Boutwell goodness. Chenin and Doug were both a wealth of information and spoke with such candor about their businesses. It was truly an honor to learn from such incredible photographers. My evenings were spent listening to Jerry Ghionis speak, eating delicious Cajun food and partying the night away on Bourbon Street. I made so many wonderful friends on this trip and could not have had a better time while in New Orleans. Below are some of the photos I took during the workshops. I hope you all enjoy them.

I am so excited to start implementing all that I have learned during this trip. For any photographers out there who have been looking for a learning experience to help push your work to the next level, I highly recommend attending Image X next year.

Why ink pens are not chew toys.

A little while back I got a phone call from my friend Erin asking if she could bring Jackson over to have his picture taken. Sure, who not. Apparently, Jackson had gotten a hold of an ink pen and tried to use it to turn himself into a dalmation. Judging from the pictures, he nearly succeeded. I love how even his tongue was speckled. Miraculously there was not a single drop of ink anywhere in Erin's house. Jackson did a really good job of keeping it all on himself. This was just too funny not to share!

Just as happy as he could be...

Poor Jackson... he has such eclectic taste in chew toys. My purse, Erin's ipod, and now ink pens! Many baths later, he still has traces of ink stain in his hair.

    I've been tagged...

My beautiful little sister and best friend tagged me in her blog Kee To Your Heart. It actually freaks me out how similar we really are. So in an effort to make amends for being an absentee blogger lately I am complying with the tag rules and posting blog number TWO for the day!!! I totally deserve a trophy for this... yes a trophy would be nice.

    Okay on to the survey...

    Four things I did today:

    1) Finished reading the last 10 pages of Midnight Sun. Dear Stephanie Meyers... please write the rest of that book NOW!!!

    2) Went to pilates class with Erin.

    3) Edited two weddings

    4) Did laundry... not that I really wanted to but we were down to one clean towel in the whole house. Eeek!

Four things on my To-Do list:

    1) Finish editing 4 sessions before we leave for Nashville next week

    2) Work on the new website

    3) Continue working on our new branding and marketing materials

    4) Design 3 albums

    Four of my guiltiest pleasures:

    1) NAPS! (Kari: "scooch")

    2) Sugary foods... especially ice cream!

    3) Reading a good book. I have to be careful though... if its too good it consumes me. Obviously... I devoured the entire Twilight series in about 10 days.

    4) Spending WAY too much money on makeup. I really am a girlie girl at heart.

    Tag! You're it!

Sheryl & OP's New Smyrna Beac h Wedding

So I realize La Dolce Blog has been seriously neglected lately. It has been brought to my attention several times that I need to get back in gear and post some new stuff. It has been a crazy Fall so far and is only getting busier with each passing week. In the span of 6 weeks I will have been to New Orleans, Miami, Nashville and Savannah for shoots. I love love love to travel, but sadly that cuts a bit of blog time out of my life. I do promise however to never let the blog get this far behind again. Pinky Promise!

Now back to more exciting things, like weddings and love and cake fights. Sheryl and OP were married on September 20th at Hidden Lakes Country Club in my home town of New Smyrna Beach. These two are so sweet together. Sheryl has the warmest heart of most anyone I've ever met. Its no wonder OP fell head over heels for this girl. Their wedding was light hearted and fun from the moment we showed up.

Here are a few of our favorite shots from the day followed by a slideshow. Pay attention to the insane cake cutting extravaganza. I hope you all enjoy! Thank you Sheryl & OP for welcoming us into your lives and allowing us to share in such a special day. We couldn't have asked for sweeter clients than you two!

This was the most insane cake cutting we have yet to experience! It was a cake massacre!
