Let's Eat Cake

Cake + Charity = Goodness Overload. Seriously, I love me some cake. I mean I pretty much decided to do wedding photography simply for the free cake. Okay okay so maybe I didn't but it is definitely one of the perks of the job. So how excited was I when I heard about this awesome wedding cake competition and fundraising event!? Organized by fabulous Melissa DiStefano of Masterpiece Weddings to benefit the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Let's Eat Cake will be a feast for the eyes and the taste buds. On February 17, 2009, (the day after my birthday) 75 of the finest wedding cake confectioners from across the country will be competing in an all out bake-fest at the Paramount Plaza hotel in Gainesville, FL. Come out and support an amazing cause all while enjoying some of the yummiest works of art you can enjoy with a fork. I will certainly be there, I mean what better way is there to celebrate my birthday than contributing to a wonderful cause and enjoying some of the tastiest cakes in the country.
