    Baseball Season

Yesterday was Brad's first baseball game of the season! He plays for the Braves in a local wooden bat league, the Jacksonville MABL. Erin, Bobby, and I went out to watch. Brad started off the season with a homerun blast to right field in his very first at bat! Unfortunately, we were running a wee bit late and Bobby was the only one who witnessed it... apparently Erin and I are "old ladies" and take too long to get out of the car. Brad finished the day 2 for 4 with 5 RBIs and his team won 15-2!!!

Somewhere around the 6th inning Bobby decided to take a nap

Two bats were broken completely in half during the game... one huge spear came flying over the fence into the stands. This is what was left in the batter's hand.

Next time I am going to get on the inside of the fence and take some pictures... it was kind of annoying to shoot through the fence the entire game... although it was much safer considering the wooden javelins that were rocketing around yesterday.

For the record, we are not old ladies! Love how the shots came out...especially the very orange one of a sleeping Bobby ( a rare find out in the wild!)

Anytime Cory... we loved dinner with the Hoffmans!

OMG Jess.. you are so right... baseball players are the hotness! No wonder I like Brad so much ;)

Erin I totally had to wait for hours for that perfect shot of a sleeping Bobby in the wild. Its hard work shooting such elusive creatures. We are so not old ladies either... I mean we didn't nap at all during the game. Only the elderly nap.
